The Optoelectronic Department at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland is going to organize a scientific international conference, Integrated Optics - Sensors, Sensing Structures and Methods, IOS’2012 which will take place on 27th February to 1st March 2012. The Conference will be organized in Szczyrk, in the Beskidy Mountains in Poland, in a real winter scenery. Co-organizers of the Conference are the Committee of Electronics and Telecommunication of Polish Academy of Sciences, the Photonic Society of Poland and the Upper Silesian Division of the Polish Acoustical Society. Honorary auspices of the Conference are taken over by Professor Wiesław Woliński – Real Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Professor Andrzej Karbownik - Rector of The Silesian University of Technology. The main goal of the Conference is to exchange knowledge in the scope of practical applications of integrated optics. The aim of the Conference is to present experiences in the field of technology and theoretical analysis of optoelectronic sensors and practical applications of sensing structures and systems as well as new methods in the field of metrology. The Conference contributes to extend relations between scientific groups and to enable the intensification of common cooperation for the development of practical optoelectronics.
