Peer Review Policy

All research manuscripts submitted to Photonics Letters of Poland undergo peer review before publication.

After an initial assessment by the Editor to verify the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s scope and its basic scientific and editorial quality, suitable manuscripts are sent for review by at least two independent reviewers with appropriate expertise in the subject area.

Photonics Letters of Poland uses an anonymous peer-review process. The identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors.

Reviewers are asked to evaluate the scientific quality, originality, relevance, clarity, methodology, and validity of the presented results. They may recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor may request minor or major revisions. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers when necessary.

The final decision on acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations, the authors’ responses, and the scientific quality of the manuscript.

Reviewers are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and to treat submitted manuscripts as confidential documents.

The same peer-review principles apply to all research articles published in the journal.
