We are happy to inform that member of our society Prof. Małgorzta Kujawińska from Warsaw University of Technology have been honoured with the Chandra S. Vikram Award for Optical Metrology. The Chandra S. Vikram Award is given by the SPIE Awards Committe for significant contributions to optical techniques and instrumentation for speckle metrology, particle–field holography, interferometry, and optical logic. The Award is granted annually since 2009 and list of previous winners can be found at the SPIE web page: http://spie.org/x25064.xml.

The SPIE Awards Committee decide to honour Prof. Malgorzata Kujawińska for her lifetime achievements in full-field optical metrology and optical testing: pioneering contribution to fields such as automatic fringe pattern analysis, integrated interferometric sensors, optical and digital holography, optical tomography, structured light and moiré fringe methods as applied to fields such as experimental mechanics, multimedia, material engineering, civil engineering and art objects measurement and monitoring.
