For over 30 years, the Polish-Czech-Slovak Optical Conference has provided a vibrant forum for reporting the latest advances in research and has stimulated the exchange of knowledge and ideas among the academic and industrial communities of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. The conference series is organized every 2 years, in turn in Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

The 16th conference is organized by the Institute of Physics of Wroclaw University of Technology and will be held from Monday 8th to Friday 12th of September, 2008 in Polanica Zdrój, a small resort located close to the Polish-Czech border.

The conference will offer invited and regular presentations in oral and poster sessions, as well as social events. We welcome contributions in essentially all aspects of optics, including:

  • information and communication
  • quantum and nonlinear optics
  • laser-assisted manufacturing and machine vision
  • life sciences and health
  • lighting and displays
  • metrology and sensors
  • design and manufacture of optical components
  • education for research and training in optics

Polanica Zdrój with its relaxed atmosphere will provide an ideal setting for a stimulating and enjoyable meeting. Please join us for this exceptional event.
