Motivation for a national technology platform in Photonics: Poland has a long history and an exceptional excellence in Photonics. A strong national community consisting of Photonics stakeholders from industry, science and politics is needed to create the critical mass for establishing a Photonics research strategy in Poland. Aim of a national technology platform in Poland : - To develop a national vision towards research priorities and national competencies in Photonics
- To complete and keep updated a Polish Strategic Research Agenda in Photonics
- To advise national authorities (Ministries, Regional authorities) on defining their national research programmes regarding Photonics
- Empower the Polish participation in European R+D projects
- To enhance the cooperation between research organizations, industry and SMEs
