Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Before making a submission please make sure that your paper fits the scope of the Photonics Letters of Poland. Each manuscript submitted via PLP system will be peer-reviewed. More information about scope and review policy can be found at: http://photonics.pl/PLP/index.php/letters/about/editorialPolicies.

The submitted manuscripts should be prepared strictly according to the guidelines presented in this template: PLP_Template.doc.

Please use this MS Word document as a basis for a new submission.The whole manuscript should be written in English. The length of the manuscript should be kept within 3 pages. We accept papers prepared in MS Word (97 or higher) or OpenOffice text editors. We do not accept papers submitted in PDF format.

IMPORTANT! Before staring submission please prepare a contact information for all co-authors (full names, e-mails and affiliations). A contact information for all authors should be provided during the submission process in "Step 2. Entering the Submission's Metadata". Papers submitted without contact information for all co-authors could be automatically rejected!

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is formated accordingly to the instructions presented in the PLP_Template.doc.
  3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word (97 or higher) or OpenOffice Writer document file format.
  4. The submission file is editable (required for copyediting). In particular submission IS NOT in PDF document file format.
  5. The length of the manuscript is kept within 3 pages.
  6. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  7. All co-authors have agreed for the submission of this paper
  8. IMPORTANT! All co-authors data (full names, e-mails and affiliations) should be provided to the electronic submission system in the order they will be listed on publication.It should be done in the second step of the submission "Step 2. Entering the Submission's Metadata".  Papers submitted without contact information for all co-authors could be automatically rejected!

This journal charges the following author fees.

All articles published in our journals are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication. This is made possible by a voluntary article-processing charge (APC) that covers the range of publishing services we provide. This includes provision of online tools for editors and authors, article production and hosting, liaison with abstracting and indexing services, and customer services. The APC, payable when your manuscript is editorially accepted and before publication, is charged to either you, or your funder, institution or employer.

 

When and how do I pay?

 

Upon editorial acceptance of an article, the corresponding author will be notified that voluntary payment is due. Payment should be made via bank transfer (IBAN PL 23 1020 1097 0000 7902 0098 7081, SWIFT/BIC BPKOPLPW) with id number of article and full name in transfer title (Bank: Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA www.pkobp.pl ; Account Owner: POLSKIE STOWARZYSZENIE FOTONICZNE - PHOTONICS SOCIETY OF POLAND, Koszykowa 75, 00-662 Warszawa, Poland). Voluntary article charge is 125 or 500 PLN.
